My name is Anca Marinescu. I’m currently a ML/AI Senior Product Manager leading the Machine Learning team at Flatiron Health, a health-tech leader using real world data used to accelerate cancer research.
I build ML-powered products utilizing deep learning and LLM models that drive revenue.
I’m currently based in New York City. Feel free to reach out on LinkedIn if you’d like to get in touch!
My personal drive is closing the the gap between technology and health care, and building AI/ML products from the ground up 0-1 from conceptualization to launch that positively impact the world.
Flatiron Health
Flatiron Health (acquired by Roche) is a leader in Real-World Evidence, using real-world data and machine learning to advance oncology research.
At Flatiron, I lead a cross-functional Machine Learning team (of ML Engineers, quantitative scientists, clinicians) that is responsible for scaling new ML-powered data sets by leverage deep learning and large language models (LLMs) to extract data at scale to unlock research access to close to 5 million cancer patient records. I’ve pioneered the end-to-end conceptualization and launch of Flatiron’s flagship ML-powered data product for Real-World Evidence (RWE), driving $61M in revenue within 1Y — and am in the process of scaling new ML-powered data products tailored to specific disease areas.
Elysium Health
Elysium Health is a health-tech start-up pioneering products to optimize healthspan and cellular health (e.g. DTC epigenetic diagnostic tool, oral and topical products). I joined the start-up Elysium Health as one of the first few hires on the scientific team — wearing many hats — where I conceptualized and validated new products to bring to market as well as therapeutics.
You can find me building LLM based apps for fun, keeping up with AI research, and working on my passion projects — outside of that when I can escape NYC, you can find me deep in nature (climbing, hiking, mountaineering, skiing, surfing). My latest summit achievements were climbing to the top of Mont Blanc and Mt. Kenya.
